Chimichurri

Estaba sentado en el trabajo pensando en un como mejorar un proceso para una encuesta en la que estoy trabajando y de repente me vino a la cabeza "CHIMICHURRI". Diablos y porque viene esa palabra o ese suculento alimento a mi cabeza. Bueno en estos días estuve escuhando en UEPA Radio sobre los sitios de hambuguesas buenos de aquí y esa situación me ha puesto a pensar. Bueno, también en History Channel están hablando de comida Argentina y para los que no lo saben en Argentina hay una salsa que se prepara para los asados que le llaman chimichurri. Ayer estuve hablando con Auro Rosa sobre los sitios de comida que hacen hamburguers aquí y vine a la conclusión que realmente hace siglos que no como eso. Es una cuestión de salud, pero también esta situación se ha provocado gracias a nuestro amigo Franklin Almeyda, con su ley de 12:00am / 2:00am, antes ibamos a los bonches sin cenar y cuando terminabamos no ajustabamos cualquier cadaver que apareciera en la calle, total ya uno tenía el antiséptico/antibiótico en la barriga, ROMO. Recuerden que el romo mata todo (hasta uno si se lleva de él).

Dominican Chimichurris

In the Dominican Republic there is a dish called chimichurris, which has a different meaning. It is a twist on the hamburger recipe popular in the United States, substituting cabbage for lettuce and adding herbs, spices, and various condiments to flavor the meat. The bread used is called "pan de agua." The name translates into water bread and it has a texture and flavor similar to French bread, but is sized for an individual. As with the hamburger, many twists are added to the basic recipe on a regional or sometimes individual basis. The chimichurris are popularly sold out of panel trucks in the Dominican Republic and the Washington Heights district of Manhattan.

So, that Chimichurri. Latin, yes, but this Dominican delight has nothing to do with its Argentine counterpart other than sharing a name. In the simplest of terms chimichurri is a Dominican hamburger. But a burger of the highest, messiest order and one that left me swooning and pining and all those other hyperbolic terms we love to use. Imagine a soft bun, a patty, grilled tomatoes and onions, cabbage (sometimes quickly pickled) and dollops of mayonnaise and ketchup. It's messy, greasy, and one of the tastiest things to pass my lips in such a long time.

Ingredients 4 hamburger buns 2 pounds of ground beef 1/2 teaspoon of garlic, crushed 1 large onion, sliced into rings 1 large onion, diced 1 bell pepper, diced 2 large tomatoes, sliced 2 cups shredded cabbage 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce 2 tablespoons of oil salt and pepper oregano ketchup mayonnaise

Si vemos la receta dice que usa carne molida, pero en realidad todos sabemos que es una mezcolanza de Canino, Minino y Roedor, es mas hasta un poco de limpiabota y cualquier otro loco que cruzó al momento de la preparación de la carne. En realidad la carne del chimi es un elemento desconocido por todos pero saboreado por muchos.

Yo tengo mas de 7 años que no me como un chimi, y en realidad mi último hamburguer callejero fue de Picalo y no fue hamburguer fue de pollo y picalo es un sitio con algo de higiene Y fue el 25 de febrero del 2008. Realmente no comi nada!! coño...

YO VOY A COMERME UN CHIMI, CUANDO NO LO SE... Hipólito tiene un obsesión por Longa y ahora voy a fomentar mi obsesión por el Chimi.... NECESITO UN CHIMI... Yo no puedo seguir comiendo tan saludable!!
